Churchill Fellowship

I am looking to learn more about the roles that rituals and traditions play in supporting us through moments of transition.

Throughout time, across cultures and communities, rituals have played an invaluable role in supporting individuals and groups through life’s many transitions. So in an increasingly secular society, where access to public space gets more squeezed with every passing year, who are the people and what are the spaces that hold rituals for us?

These are the questions I am trying to explore this year, supported by a Churchill Fellowship. By speaking to community leaders and healers, and visiting places where rituals old and new are held, I want to better understand how we can use rituals to support people who are navigating life’s transitions, regardless of their cultural or religious backgrounds.

And I would love your help. I am looking to chat to inspiring people to help me build up my research, especially people who work with religious or cultural rituals already and/or people who support others through transitions.

Please reach out if you’re excited to chat, or if you can connect me with someone you think would like to talk to me!

You can also check out my blog, where I am sharing reflections from my conversations as they happen.
